This Takane quartz clock movement mechanism is made in the U.S.A. It is suitable for replacing old clock movements or for building new clocks. This clock motor is battery operated and requires just one AA battery and keeps reliable and accurate time. Takane clock movement mechanisms are perfect for replacing an old clock movement or when building a new clock. Its stem length is 7/8 inches tall, threads length is 9/16 inches, and shaft diameter is 5/16 inch. The movement's outer housing is 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" and is 5/8" thick. The clock movement is easy to install and requires no additional wiring or programming. Once installed, it will keep accurate time and needs no further maintenance, other than to replace the battery every once in a while. It is perfect for replacing old clock movements or for building new clocks.

How do you know which movement you need? Begin with knowing the thickness of your clock face and any backing that your movement will go through. Your stem should be long enough to go through the clock face and have enough left on the front to secure it with the nut included with your clock movement,

with the red outline representing the threaded part of your shaft.
