Types of Seed Beads
- AB Seed Beads - AB or Aurora Borealis seed beads have an iridescent or rainbow coating on them.
- Opaque Seed Beads - These are a solid color that light cannot pass through.
- Translucent Seed Beads - This type of seed bead is a somewhat transparent color that allows some degree of light to pass through or illuminate the bead.
- Lined Hole Seed Beads - These seed beads have a colored or metallic coating inside the hold. Often a silvery color, it allows the color of the bead to stand out a little more.
- Ceylon Seed Beads - These beads have a pearlescent or pearly color to them.
- Matte Seed Beads - These beads are not shiny.
- Luster Seed Beads - This type of seed bead has a shiny finish.
