A heart doesn't have to be reserved for Valentine's Day. Heart jewelry can represent a spouse or partner, children and grandchildren, sisters, close friends or anyone who holds a special place in your life. A heart in someone's favorite color can turn a simple necklace or bracelet into a more personal gift.

Look beyond the traditional heart, too. Fiber optic hearts have shifting cat eye patterns that make each one a little different, floral hearts combine flowers with the symbolism of a heart, and Southwestern and abstract designs offer something for people who prefer less traditional jewelry. Making a Heart Pendant Your Own

Many heart pendants can be worn simply by adding them to a chain or cord, but they can also become the starting point for a larger design.
