Crocheted Bed Doll Dress

• 3 Skeins of Main Color (we used white), 4 ply, 3 1/2 oz acrylic worsted weight yarn. (Referred to in pattern as MC)
• 1 Skein of complimentary color (we used pink), 4 ply, 3 1/2 oz acrylic worsted weight yarn. Referred to in pattern as CC)
• 13 1/2" Full Bodied Doll or Bed Doll with 7 1/2&qout; chest.
• Size E, F, and G Crochet Hooks
• Small bunch of color coordinated flowers.
• Yarn needle
• Optional: Small buttons or hooks for back of dress. Alternately, you can sew the dress closed with matching yarn.

GAUGE - Size E Hook 4 1/2 SC = 1 inch. 5 rows SC = 1 inch.

Size G Hook 4 SC = 1 inch. 4 1/2 rows SC = 1 inch

Body - With MC and size # hook, CH 35.

Row 1 SC in 2nd CH from hook, SC in next 6 CHs, 2 SC in next 5 CHs, SC in next 10 CHs, 2 SC in next 5 CHs, SC in next 7 CHs. (44 sts)

Row 2 CH 1, turn. SC in next 43 STS. (44 STS)

Row 3 CH 1, turn. SC in next 6 STS, CH 5. Skip next 10 STS. SC in next 10 STS, CH 5. Skip next 10 STS. SC in next 7 STS. (34 STS)

Row 4 CH 1, turn. SC in next 6 STS, SC in next 5 CHs, SC in next 10 STS, SC in next 5 CHs, SC in next 7 STS. (34 STS)

Row 5-9 CH1, turn, SC in next 33 STS. (34 STS) (You can adjust this to be shorter or longer by doing less rows or more, depending on your doll's body size.

Row 10 CH 3, turn. 3 DC in each of the next 32 STS, DC in next ST. (98 STS)

RND 1 Mark your ST to begin RNDS. CH 3, turn. DC in next 94 STS, skip next 3 STS. SLST to the beginning of this row to form a RND. (95 STS).

RND 2 With size G hook, CH 3, DC in next 3 STS, 2 DC in next ST. *DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 8 more times. SLST to the top of CH 3. (105 STS)

RND 3 & 4 CH 3, DC in next 104 STS, SLST to the top of CH 3 (105 STS)

RND 5 CH 3, DC in next 8 STS, 2 DC in next ST, "DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 8 more times. DC in next 5 STS. SLST to the op of CH 3. (115 STS)

RND 6 CH 3, DC in next 3 STS. 2 DC in next ST, * DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 10 more times. SLST to the top of CH 3. (127 STS)

RND 7 CH 3, DC in next 8 STS. 2 DC in next ST, * DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 10 more times. DC in next 7 STS. SLST to the top of CH 3. (139 STS)

RND 8 CH 3, DC in next 3 STS. 2 DC in next ST, * DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 12 more times. dC in next 4 STS. SLST to the top of CH 3. (153 STS)

RND 9 CH 3, DC in next 8 STS. 2 DC in next ST, * DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 13 more times. dC in next 3 STS. SLST to the top of CH 3. (168 STS)

RND 10 CH 3, DC in next 4 STS. 2 DC in next ST, * DC in next 9 STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 15 more times. dC in next 2 STS. SLST to the top of CH 3. (185 STS)

RND 11 THRU 15 CH 3, DC in next 184 STS. SLST to the top of CH 3. (185 STS)

RND 16 CH 3. (Crochet in front of ST only). 3 DC in same ST, 4 DC in each of the next 184 STS. SLST to the top of CH 3. (740 STS). Fasten off.

RND 17 Go back to the back ST on RND 15 and CH 3 in first ST. DC in same ST. *DC in next 9STS, 2 DC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 17 more times. DC in next 4 STS, SLST in top of CH 3. (204 STS)

RND 18 CH 3, 3 DC in same st. 4 DC in next 203 STS, SLST in the top of CH 3 (816 STS). Fasten off.

RUFFLES

Row 1 SLST in 4th CH from hook. *CH 3, SLST in next ST.* Repeat * to * 25 more times. CH 3, SLST in same CH. (Crochet down the other side of CH)

RUFFLES AT THE NECKLINE

With CC yarn and size E hook, CH 4 in the first ST on Row 1 of the body. SC in next ST, *CH 3, SC in next st.* Repeat * to * across the row. Fasten off.

Close the dress by sewing the dress onto your doll or sew small buttons or hooks at the back opening.

HAT With MC yarn and size E hook CH 3, SLST to first CH to form a ring.

RND 1 CH 1, SC in same CH, 2 SC in next 2 CHs, SLST to beginning CH 1. (6 STS)

RND 2 CH 1, SC in same ST, 2 SC in back of next 5 STS, SLST to beginning CH 1. (12 STS)

RND 3 CH 1, SC in same ST, 2 SC in back ST of next 11 STS, SLST to beginning CH 1. (24 STS)

RND 4 CH 1, SC in back of ST of the next 23 STS, SLST to beginning CH 1. (24 STS)

RND 5 CH 1, * 2 SC in the next ST, SC in next ST.* Repeat * to * 10 times. 2 SC in the next ST, SLST to the beginning CH 1. (36 STS)

RND 6 CH 1, SC in the back of each of the next 35 STS.SLST to beginning CH 1 (36 STS)

RND 7 & 8 CH 1, SC in each of the next 36 STS, SLST to the top of beginning CH 1. (36 STS)

Fasten off and attach your small flowers to the side of the hat and more to the front near the waist of your dress.
