Christmas Memories Are Made One Ornament at a Time!
Christmas has a wonderful way of bringing back memories. Remember the excitement of decorating the tree, rediscovering favorite ornaments, and sharing stories about when and where they were made? Some of the most treasured decorations aren't the fancy ones from a store. They're the little handmade ornaments that remind us of time spent together, laughter around the table, and the people who made Christmas special.
That's part of the magic of making Christmas ornaments with pony beads! There's something about creating Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, the Grinch, and all their cheerful friends that brings out the kid in everyone, young and old. Gather the family around the table, share a few laughs, and enjoy making decorations that may become part of your Christmas celebrations for many years to come. Someday, one of these little beaded characters might be the ornament someone reaches for first because it brings back a favorite memory.
And just look at what you can do with them! Our free Christmas pony bead patterns can become a whole collection of colorful ornaments for your Christmas tree, charming decorations for an evergreen garland across the mantel, or cheerful additions to wreaths and holiday displays. Each little character has a personality of its own, and together they make a Christmas scene that's full of fun and imagination.
Best of all, these little beaded ornaments are made to be enjoyed again and again. Long after the beads have been put away and the Christmas wrapping paper has been cleared, the ornaments remain, ready to bring back those happy memories every time Christmas comes around. Maybe you'll gather the family around the table for an afternoon of crafting, or perhaps you'll enjoy a little quiet time making something special to surprise someone you love. However you choose to make them, we hope these cheerful little characters bring as much happiness to your Christmas as you'll put into making them!
If you make this project please share your photos with us. If we use them on our website or on Facebook you will get 10% off of your next order over $25!

I remember how fun it was to get out the Christmas decorations when I was young. Opening those boxes immediately brought smiles and memories of past Christmases flooding into the room. There were always a few favorite ornaments I couldn't wait to find, each with their own story.
Just imagine an evening with your children, your sisters, your grandchildren, your neighbor, sitting around the table, a bowl of home popped popcorn sitting in the middle of the table, pages of Christmas character patterns strewn all over the table amongst little bowls of pony beads. Oops, one bowl spilled as you enjoy the chatter and laughter all around the table. Can't you just hear all the stories being shared? Then, each of you hang your finished ornament on the garland draped on the mantel or tree standing in the corner of the room.
If you're like me and just enjoy beading and giving little unexpected things to others this might be the perfect project for this year. They're easy to make, not expensive, and still provide that hand-made, "I thought of you" feeling to the folks you give them to.
Last year I baked and that was a lot of work. This year I'm thinking of sharing an ornament with them but I think I will change the type of connector that the pattern calls for and use something less bulky and more appealing when hanging on a tree. Here are some folks that I like to share something with, my neighbor, the lady at the grocery store who always remembers my name, the mail carrier who has delivered more packages than I care to admit, the kids' teachers, a friend at church and even my game night companions. Rather than it being consumed and forgotten maybe it will remind them of the nice thing they did for me.
I was also thinking about how these Christmas pony bead patterns might be great for a classroom decorating craft project. I don't think it would work well for the younger grades, but it should be great for about third grade and up. The kids might have a great time with them. And with so many different Christmas characters to choose from, everyone could pick the one they like best and hang them on the classroom tree when they finish and on their own tree when they go home for Christmas break.
I thought of a lot of other ways to use them, more ways to use them than time to make them! If you need help thinking of ways to decorate or share your pony bead Christmas ornaments, here are some ideas that could be easy Christmas crafts for groups other than just family and classroom.
